Chalk Hill Montepulciano 2022
Bright vibrant fruits of red cherries and Cranberries. Dried herbs, pomegranate, granite, orange peel and plenty of spice make for a complex and exotic mid palate which leads to a tightly bound tannin structure with a refreshing acid. Montepulciano hasn't been a variety that I've associated as a long term cellaring proposition, but this is so well structured that I can see this drinking well through to 2035.
