Dr Edge Tasmania Chardonnay 2023
Dr Edge Tasmania Chardonnay is a refined and vibrant white wine that beautifully reflects the cool-climate conditions of Tasmania. This Chardonnay exhibits a pale gold color with a nose that unfolds layers of citrus fruits, such as lemon and grapefruit, complemented by hints of green apple, white peach, and subtle notes of flint and toasted almonds. On the palate, it offers a crisp and precise experience, with a perfect balance of bright acidity and creamy texture, enhanced by a touch of minerality. The wine is elegantly structured, with a lingering finish that showcases delicate oak integration and a refined complexity. 2023 marks the first year of pressing juice to 1,000L clay amphora and some seasoned oak casks as per previous years. The juice is fermented naturally, matured for 9 months on lees. The clay vessel holds around 10% by volume whole Chardonnay fruit clusters for fermentation and maturation. Bottled without fining
