Havilah ROG Rose 2023

Here we have an extended skin contact Pinot Gris, labelled as a Rose. There could be some conjecture about the labelling it as Rose rather than Pinot Gris, but it's definitely pink, so there's no confusion there.
This wine has plenty of body and spice for a Rose, with ripe rock melon and red currant fruits, which transforms through secondary of roses and mandarins. A savoury and phenolic aspect of blood oranges and dried thyme add balance with lightly spiced and lingering acidity providing good length
Region: Tamar Valley, Tasmania
Budburst Rating: #excellentwine 93pts
