Jim Barry Lodge Hill Shiraz 2020
This is a wine of quite some complexity which has several layers in its make-up, starting with a generous fruit component of wild cherries and black berries. A savoury aspect of dried herbs, fresh mint and a touch of licorice provide for a well balanced mid palate which transitions to a firm, grainy tannic structure. Its a #verygoodwine that's very approachable now, but will also continue its journey in the cellar until around 2030.
