Merriworth Estate Pinot Noir 2023
The Merriworth ‘Sans Souci’ Pinot Noir, grown in Tasmania's Coal River Valley, is a lively and fresh expression of Pinot Noir that uses 50% whole-bunch fermentation and minimal oak influence. This gives the wine a vibrant character with notes of raspberry brioche, savory charcuterie, and hints of smokiness. Herbal tones and a subtle Szechuan pepper spice add complexity, while the palate is juicy with a cherry-like ripeness. It finishes with fine, chalky tannins, making it an ideal pairing with cheese, charcuterie, and rustic bread
