Gewurtztraminer chat with Matt Pooley

Gewurztraminer can be such a good wine that is particularly well matched to spicy cuisines from India, China, Thailand, Vietnam or Mexico. It is very versatile in this department, but yet it remain largely an unknown variety.
🍷
I also think that a lot of people would struggle pronouncing this grape variety as well, which effects contributes to people, people being hesitant in choosing this wine
🍷
Matt Pooley and I discuss the virtues of The Pooley Gewurtztraminer 2024, which has been a big success at their Cellar door, because when people get to try it, then they love it and we think you would too

The entry reveals a generous fruit component of ripe pears and honeydew melon. Aromatics Rose Petals with a hint of Turkish delight which then finishes with clean, lingering acidity which really provides for a freshness on the finish which you don't often see in Gewurtztraminer. 1.3g of Residual Sugar is unusually low for this variety but it works beautifully
