Pooley Estate Syrah 2025

A cool-climate Syrah from Tasmania’s Coal River Valley, Pooley Estate Syrah shows the variety’s more elegant and savoury side, combining vibrant fruit with spice, freshness and fine structure.

Blackberry, dark cherry and plum lead into violets, cracked white pepper and savoury herbs, with a medium-bodied palate that balances ripe fruit with freshness and restraint. Fine tannins provide shape through the mid-palate, while pepper and subtle earthy characters add complexity without overwhelming the fruit.

The finish is long, fresh and savoury, with lingering dark berries, spice and finely structured tannins. A refined Tasmanian Syrah that offers plenty of immediate appeal 

This is an excellent follow up to the multi-award winning 2024. It's a different style to the 2024, which reflects the 2025 vintage. It has impeccable structure and very youthful in it's make up, that will reward with further time in the bottle, hitting it's straps around 2028.

Food Match: Roast lamb, grilled beef or slow-cooked meats. Also excellent with mushroom dishes, chargrilled vegetables or aged cheeses.
