Arras Sparkling Vintage Rose 2015
A beautifully mature Tasmanian sparkling rosé from House of Arras, the 2015 is a Pinot Noir-led blend of 61.7% Pinot Noir, 37.7% Chardonnay and 0.6% Pinot Meunier, sourced from the East Coast, Derwent Valley, Coal River Valley and Pipers River.
Raspberry, red apple and strawberry lead into blood orange, white peach and delicate floral notes. A minimum of six years ageing on lees brings layers of brioche, toasted nuts and creamy richness through the mid-palate, while savoury mushroom, crushed stone and subtle saline characters add further complexity.
The finish is long, dry and finely structured, with persistent red fruit, citrus and mineral acidity keeping the wine remarkably fresh despite its maturity. With a low 2.4g/L dosage, this is a serious, complex sparkling rosé with both richness and precision.
Food Match: Tasmanian salmon, lobster, duck or roast poultry. Also excellent with richer seafood dishes or mushroom-based dishes.
Region: Multi-Regional, Tasmania
