Barringwood Classic Cuvee 2019

The Barringwood Classic Cuvée 2019 is an elegant and beautifully balanced Tasmanian vintage sparkling wine, combining vibrant cool-climate fruit with a creamy texture and the complexity of extended bottle maturation.

The palate opens with fresh lemon zest, crisp green apple and white peach, complemented by delicate white floral notes and a fine, persistent bead. The mid-palate develops a lovely creamy richness, revealing layers of freshly baked brioche, toasted almonds and subtle biscuit characters, supported by gentle orchard fruits and a touch of savoury complexity. The finish is long, crisp and refreshing, with bright citrus acidity, delicate mineral notes and a subtle saline character providing freshness, precision and balance.

Winemaking:

Barringwood is a Tasmanian producer renowned for its premium cool-climate wines, with vineyards in northern Tasmania.

The Classic Cuvée is made from the three traditional Champagne varieties — Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier — using the traditional method of sparkling wine production.

Following primary fermentation, the wine undergoes a secondary fermentation in bottle, with extended maturation on yeast lees developing its fine mousse, creamy texture and characteristic brioche complexity.

This patient approach to winemaking allows the wine to develop richness and depth while preserving the vibrant natural acidity and freshness associated with Tasmanian sparkling wines.
