Description:

The Gala Estate Vintage Sparkling Rosé 2021 is an elegant and beautifully refined Tasmanian sparkling wine, combining vibrant red berry fruits with delicate savoury complexity and the freshness of Tasmania's cool-climate vineyards.

The palate opens with fresh strawberries, raspberries and red cherries, complemented by delicate floral notes and a fine, persistent bead. The mid-palate develops a lovely creamy texture, with layers of toasted brioche, subtle pastry characters and a hint of blood orange adding richness and complexity. The finish is long, crisp and refreshing, with lively citrus acidity and a gentle savoury character providing elegance, balance and finesse.

Winemaking:

Produced from estate-grown fruit at Gala Estate's historic vineyard in Cranbrook, on Tasmania's East Coast, this vintage sparkling rosé is crafted using the traditional method, with secondary fermentation in bottle.

Extended maturation allows the wine to develop its fine mousse, creamy texture and complex savoury characters while retaining the freshness and vibrant fruit expression characteristic of premium Tasmanian sparkling wines.

Established in 1821, Gala Estate is one of Tasmania's oldest family farming enterprises, with generations of the Amos family continuing to work the original property.

In September 2026, Gala Estate released the 2021 Vintage Sparkling Rosé under the name Lavinia & Mathilda, honouring the first children born at the historic estate in 1823. It's a lovely tribute to the Amos family's remarkable connection to the property and its more than 200 years of history.
