Kreglinger Vintage Brut 2019

The Kreglinger Vintage Brut 2019 is an elegant and refined Tasmanian sparkling wine, blending Pinot Noir and Chardonnay to deliver beautiful balance, subtle fruit and impressive complexity.

The entry is delicate and fresh, with citrus fruits and white peach providing a lovely sense of purity. The mid-palate reveals layers of complexity, with hints of oyster shell, saline minerality and white flowers, complemented by delightful notes of shortbread and lemon brioche. The finish is lively and crisp, with beautifully balanced acidity and impeccable length.

Winemaking

Hand-harvested Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from Kreglinger's Hills Vineyard in Pipers Brook are gently whole-bunch pressed. Selected parcels undergo cool fermentation in barrel, followed by malolactic fermentation and lees stirring to develop richness and texture.

Produced using the traditional method, the wine undergoes secondary fermentation in bottle before ageing for more than four years, developing its distinctive creamy texture and complexity.

Residual Sugar: 6.5 g/L. 

Food Match

A wonderfully versatile sparkling wine that pairs beautifully with triple cream Brie, sardines in a spicy tomato sauce, cold barbecued chicken or tomato and basil bruschetta. Its saline character and refreshing acidity make it particularly well suited to rich cheeses and savoury dishes.
