The Pooley Estate Gewürztraminer 2025 is a wonderfully aromatic and expressive wine, showcasing the exotic fruit and floral characters that make this variety so distinctive.

The wine opens with fragrant rose petals, ripe mango and lychee, leading into a generous, textural mid-palate filled with tropical fruit, fresh pear, kiwi fruit and hints of clove and exotic spice. The concentration of fruit provides a lovely sense of richness and perceived sweetness, beautifully balanced by gentle acidity.

The finish is dry, fragrant and refreshing, with lingering floral notes and delicate spice. A particularly appealing wine for those who enjoy generous, aromatic whites, and a wonderful partner for the complex flavours of Asian cuisine.

Winemaking: Sourced from Tasmania's Tamar Valley, the fruit received 24 hours of skin contact before fermentation in stainless steel. Four months on fine lees added texture and complexity while preserving the wine's vibrant aromatics.

Food Match: Thai red duck curry, aromatic chicken and coconut curry, ginger and garlic prawns, or Vietnamese lemongrass chicken.
