Decades Pinot Noir 2024

Bright red cherry and raspberry fruit sit at the centre of the wine, with subtle spice, floral notes and a savoury undertone adding complexity. The palate is elegant and finely structured, with pure red fruit, fresh acidity and supple tannins carrying through to a long, poised finish.

There’s plenty of detail here, but also a lovely sense of restraint — a Pinot Noir built around purity, balance and vineyard expression rather than weight or excessive oak.

Decades is the project of longtime friends Steve Flamsteed and Brad Rogers, who purchased their Coal River Valley property in 2022. The original vineyard was planted in 1990 and today forms the foundation of their Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.

Winemaking

Made from fruit grown on the Decades vineyard at Tea Tree in Tasmania’s Coal River Valley. The vineyard’s cool climate and established vines provide the foundation for a Pinot Noir focused on fragrance, freshness and fine structure.

The wine is produced by Steve Flamsteed, with the Decades philosophy centred on expressing the vineyard with clarity and minimal excess.

Food Match

Beautiful with roast duck, lamb loin, mushroom risotto, roast pork or grilled salmon. Its bright red fruit and fine tannins also make it an excellent match for earthy mushroom dishes and roasted root vegetables.
